The first half was a good one. They came out just like I expected, and looked like they were ready to go. Even though the half was a decent one, the play of Chris Paul really hurt them. The half still was not anywhere close to where Coach Clifford wants it to be, as the FG% for Los Angeles was too high.
Things started to get out of hand in the third quarter as the Clippers were just running up and down the quarter making it look easy. The Bobcats offense does not even compare to the offense of the Clippers. The Bobcats just seem to have nobody who can drain a big shot when they need won. Where as the Clippers have so many weapons. Overall, the third quarter was another frustrating one. There have been many of them in the past couple of weeks.
The fourth quarter was rough too. My prediction of the Bobcats being able to keep it close only lasted for about a half. After that, it was all headed downhill.
Grading The Starters:
PG: Kemba Walker: B
-Kemba scored 14 on 4 of 10 from the field. Not a bad night, but he won’t be happy as the Bobcats lost another game.
SG: Gerald Henderson: B-
-I’m so tired of seeing Henderson be so inconsistent. It’s unreal that he can score 12 one half, and then the next put up a goose egg. As I have mentioned, he’ll never be a good player if he can’t figure that out.
SF: Anthony Tolliver: C+
-Tolliver shot 10 three pointers and only made 3 of them.
PF: Josh McRoberts: B
-Josh did what he usually does but the Cats just couldn’t put it together.
C: Al Jefferson: C
-Al had a double double but looked lost at some points in this game. His post moves were not as effective as usual.
Charlotte Sports Blog’s Player Of The Game: Blake Griffin (F) 31 Pts. 10 Reb.
-Blake Griffin is starting to hit his mid range show rather consistently. If that keeps up, watch out folks.
In my opinion:
During the broadcast Dell said, “We need a big offensive set here.” Steve followed that by saying “Who’s it going to come from.” Well Steve, to answer your question, probably no one. If the Bobcats are going to be any good, they’re going to have to get a shooter. Without a shooter, they will continue to struggle on the offensive end.
Next Bobcats Game:
The Bobcats will jet off to Oregon late Wednesday night, where they will meet a Trail Blazers team that did not play tonight. It should be a fun matchup to watch and a chance for us all to see just how good the Blazers really are. Tipoff is set for 10 PM EST.
