The Charlotte Hornets are heading back to the playoffs. When the regular season ends in mid-April, the Hornets won't be cleaning out their lockers. Instead, they will be preparing for a playoff series.
The Hornets will now have the opportunity to do something the Bobcats never could: win a playoff game.
Considering this is the best team Charlotte has had since NBA returned to the Queen City, Steve Clifford's crew should have a good opportunity to make some noise.
It it is unclear at this point who the Hornets will face in the first round. While they currently hold the third spot in the east, spots 3-6 are all up for grabs. Potential first round match-ups include Atlanta, Miami, and Boston.
The Hornets will take their 44-31 record into Cleveland this afternoon as they battle the Cavs. The game tips off at 3:30 from the Quicken Loans Arena. Both teams played Friday night, so the early start time should have the same affects on both teams.
