It was announced Monday that the Hornets' best player will miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a procedure to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee. This news comes after Kemba asked out of last Friday's game against the Cavs and missed Saturday's game versus the Knicks due to the injury. Walker is scheduled to have surgery today in New York.
Until Kemba's return, Brain Roberts will continue to start in his place at the point guard position. Despite his reputation as little more than a backup, Roberts has some good experience in the lineup as he started 42 games for the Pelicans last season.
This one could be really tough for the Hornets as they head to San Antonio to face the defending champions tonight without Kemba Walker. Even though the Hornets have played well recently, I'll take the Spurs to come out on top 101-89 at home.
