The Bobcats will open up their post Christmas portion of the season on Friday night in Charlotte. The Oklahoma City Thunder will invade Time Warner Cable Arena at 7PM searching to continue their hot streak, as they have won 9 of their last 10 games.
The Thunder have silenced their early critics and have proved they belong as one of the leagues elite. Their 23-5 record ties them for the best in the league as far as winning percentage. Kevin Durant is off to another great start and has played a big role in the Thunder’s recent success. Russell Westbrook has hopped right back in the swing of things as he is putting up over twenty a night while dishing out seven assists. He has played in all but three of their games.
As far as the Bobcats are concerned, they will look to tighten up defensively, as they have been sloppy in that area lately. They will once again play without Michael Kidd-Gilchrist who hopes to return soon after the new year. MKG’s defense will certainly be missed Friday as the Bobcats have no one that can match up with one of the league’s premier scorers in Kevin Durant.
PG: Russell Westbrook
SG: Thabo Sefolosha
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Serge Ibaka
C: Kendrick Perkins
PG: Kemba Walker
SG: Gerald Henderson
Who wins the game?
Charlotte will miss MKG’s defensive skill, which will ultimately lead Kevin Durant to a monster game. With that being said, I do believe the Cats will keep it close, on what should be an exciting night at the cable box.
Final score: Bobcats 90-Thunder 97
