Another blow fourth-quarter lead, another loss for the Hornets. It seems as if this team can’t catch a break coming down the stretch of close basketball games. Whether its a self-eruption, or twenty-seven points coming from Warriors’ reserve Marreese Speights, something always seemingly kills the Buzz. Tonight, however, will be good opportunity to break a horrendous eight-game skid, as the Hornets travel to Atlanta to play the Hawks--one of four teams that have fallen to the Purple and Teal this season. Indeed, as you might remember, Charlotte’s win over Atlanta came via Lance Stephenson’s game-winning buzzer beater in overtime back on the seventh of this month. That was the last Hornets’ home victory. Yeah, it has been that type of season.
Matchup To Watch For
Al Jefferson Vs Al Horford: The matchup between two Al’s, Jefferson V Horford has provided a bunch of great battles since Big Al first laced up his shows in a Charlotte uniform against the Hawks. Infact, back on that November 7th win, Jefferson scored 34 while Horford added 24 to lead Atlanta. This should be another excellent fight between two of the best centers in the league tonight.
The Hornets are going to win this one; I can just feel it. Say what you will about a blown lead and a loss last night, but it was fairly impressive how the Hornets were able to build a ten-point advantage against one of the West’s best teams and the Splash Bros. Charlotte wins this one on the road 101-98.
