The Last Time Out
The Hornets played well in their last game against the Phoenix Suns, winning 103-95 for their first road victory of the season. Based on the way Charlotte had played in their two previous games prior to yesterday's contest, the win came as a surprise, but should be a nice momentum boost for the Buzz going into tonight’s matchup. Kemba Walker lead the team statistically in Phoenix, finishing with 19 points, five boards, and four dimes.
Player to Watch For
Stephen Curry: As the son the great Dell Curry, a Charlotte Christian-star, and a Davidson College product, Steph Curry is one of more popular non-Hornets in the Queen City. Furthermore, rumors circulated throughout the summer concerning a possible return to Charlotte for Curry, but due to Kemba Walker’s recent contract extension, it’s pretty unlikely Steph will be in the purple and teal uniform in the near future. However, on court, Curry has been a monster for Golden State, averaging just under 25 points a game. It’ll be great to watch Kemba and the Queen City native matchup in tonight’s contest.
Despite yesterday's win, the Warriors are one of the best teams in the league, and should show that tonight against an inconsistent Charlotte club. Golden State wins 111-97.
